Description
This 3D computer model was created by David using ZBrush. The model was transferred to the Vue program, where 3D pine trees were painted onto the surface then rendered with clouds and gel shadows. I've always wanted to visit New Zealand since the movie, but of course never will. Those rolling mountains were out of this world beyond beautiful! This is just a lovely reminder and so well done!! Loving the pine trees included as well!
David Luebbert replied:
Thank you, Sharon! I painted the hobbit hole from a photo that my sister took of it when she visited NZ recently that is in my gallery, and I used the ZBrush modeling software to create this landscape. 3D modeling can produce very realistic imaging but it is also very time consuming, and I have stopped doing it to concentrate on digital painting only, but having spent time learning it vastly expanded my understanding of technical aspects of art so I appreciate what it gave me.
