First captured by photo back in the winter of 2011 when we lived in Vermont, this image has long fascinated my Texan lack of a snowy-icy day. As my wife, born and raised in Vermont, reminds me - the raw power of the land is clearly evident - and felt - is this beautiful part of our country.
Snow and ice were what captured my attention six years ago, but now I can also appreciate the lighthouse and breakers and light posts and even, at the horizon distance, Rock Point - which I had painted for my wife’s dad in the early 80s.
I’m very happy to be able to present my limited but deeply felt response to this gorgeous land.
Painting size is 11x14 inches, created with water soluble oil paints.
