Ring-Tailed lemurs get their name from the alternating black & white bands on their tails. Lemurs live in southwestern Madagascar. They are one of the most vocal primates, using several different calls to alert members of their group to danger. A big threat for lemurs is that their forests are being destroyed for farming. It’s estimated that only 10% of forests remain and 1 to 2% of that remaining forest is destroyed each year. Part of the 100 WILD ANIMAL MINI-PRINTS series.
