Art and beauty can be found anywhere, if you look hard enough. Take this photograph for example. While walking my golden retriever Genevieve through the woods one day after a late snow fall, I was struck by the beauty that the ice, snow and blue sky created in this pond of water just beyond my house. What you are looking at is the reflection of the blue sky and the birch and maple trees with the red maple tree seeds resting on top of water and ice. This photograph is fascinating to me. I love the water bubbles forming around the red seeds and their contrast with the blue sky and birch trees. This is most definitely one of my favorite pieces. I encourage you to go out and find beauty in something very simple, yet magnificent.
