Description
Redwood Treetops Abstract is a digitally painted photograph of the tops of redwood trees with a distinctive abstract feel. The underlying photo was taken at Muir Woods in Marin County, California, in bright morning light.
Looking up to the treetops and canopy of the forest is a unique experience but difficult to capture in photography because of the intense dark and light contrasts and high level of foliage detail. I chose to tone down the details using some digital filters and adjust color for a painterly composition.
