They are known for their red-brick colored tails.
They are keen eyed and efficient hunters.
They hunt rabbit, mice, squirrels, reptiles, or other prey.
Red-tailed Hawks mate for life and live to be 21 years of age.
This Red-tailed Hawk (juvenile) was photographed at Heron Haven.
