Coffee Pot Rock as see from the area of the Seven Sacred Pools near Sedona, Arizona. It's the far left outcropping which sort of looks like an old style coffee percolator. I guess.
The Seven Sacred Pools are a series of small natural pools in the rock that fill up after a rain. This area was sacred to the native population.
To get to this area, you either hike the Soldier Pass Trail, or you drive (with a permit) on what would be losely called a road to the pools. It's only for high clearance 4W drive vehicles. Our Jeep made it with not problem, but we did lose a piece of the trim somewhere along the road. It's my wife's car - she wasn't too thrilled about that.
Lots of red in this one. The entire landscape was either red from the rock or green from the brush
