love painting the colourful patios of old cottages that I have come across in the towns and villages of Andalucia, Spain. Normally the windows and doors are painted blue or green as you can see from my other paintings. This house with its red doors in a village in the Alpujarra Almeriense I visited recently made quite a contrast from my blue compositions.
