Description
A cicada moulting and emerging as an adult. I was lucky enough to catch this shot thanks to my twelve year old son who informed me "Something strange is happening outside, Mom." We were able to witness the last moments of this cicadas moulting process on an early evening last spring. It was quite a blessing to reflect on the changes, from one stage of life to another, and brought back childhood memories of listening to the cicada's songs with my Dad.
