Description
I mentioned, before, that I had rescued a baby quail a some time ago. When I rescued him, I carried him, in a dish towel, back outside, and gently released him on the rail of the fence. He looked up at me, blinked and when I told him to fly into the pine tree that his family habitats, he did, immediately . I had jokingly said to a friend, "I suppose, now, when I go out to sit in the lawn chair he will come sit on my head!" Well, he didn't do that but I do believe that this is the 2nd or 3rd time I have seen him on the patio with part of his family. There were actually 3 others with them, on this day. My "buddy," who I rescued, is the one on the left. He looks a little fluffed up, feathers a little ruffled and stands a little differently. Sometimes I wonder just how intelligent some of these birds are! Does he really remember being rescued? Sometimes I wonder about me... Do I really think this is the baby I rescued? Yes, I do. I am not senile, just a little into my dotage. The FAA watermark will not appear on any beautifully finished product that you may wish to purchase..**

This is awesome and love the story as well. Did you know I read somewhere recently that one of the black birds (crow or madpie) never forget if a person rescues him or does something nice, they remember the person forever, I wonder if it like that with other birds as well. l/f
Phyllis Kaltenbach replied:
I believe that that may, very well, be, Miroslava! They are very smart! Thank you for your comment!
