Drawing - Colored Pencil
Primary Season is when the leaves of deciduous trees reveal their true colors defining the fall season in the mid-west. I love to discover the bright and earthy colors using the natural still life subjects of leaves, sticks, rocks, and acorns in their actual environment found in wooded areas, state and local parks. This collection of oak and maples leaves seems to have lined up along a step of a weathered dock while presenting their twisting and turning shapes in all those beautiful primary colors. The colors of fall doesn’t get any better.
