A still life painting working from a limited palette of Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow, Terra Rosa, Ivory Black and Itanium White. Using a limited muted palette produces wonderful muted colors and values. Even as the painting does not reflect the true intensity of the peppers as they are found in nature it makes a wonderful painting. Adding Cadmium Yellow to this limited palette allows for a more intense yellow pepper. Muted colors are found in most paintings, reserved in small areas for some and other paintings are entirely created with muted colors.
