For those of you that don't live in California I'm sure you have a picture in your mind that California has big, beautiful, sun washed beaches. The fact that I am based in Northern California I know that this is a myth.
What I was hoping for in my trip down the coast in early October was that this myth would hold true. The reality is that most of the beaches in Southern California are usually bathed in sun. But on this day weekend getaway that was not to be. The weather was foggy and chilly we had to drive a few miles inland to see the sun.
What I was able to enjoy though was a near empty beach and this wonderful moody scene presented here. I hope you like it.
