Description
This amazing yet compelling photo was taken in the Historic Church of St. Steven;s Church in Philadelphia PA. The men's chorus ensemble from New Orleans, which I was a member of was chosen to perform a joint chorus ensemble concert live. On a break I walk around in awe at the beautiful details of the interior of the church. It was late in the evening and the sun was setting and caught a glimpse of light shining through the stain glass of Jesus. Not paying any attention except for the fact low light and low auto setting on my camera, it was blurred. I put it with my other thousand and thousand of photos of my 57 years as a photographer. Recently I came across the photo once again. As I enlarged the photo to my amazement and astonishment, there is something more than a blurred photo here. The image of Jesus is tilted down as if movement. When you look at the photo again it looks as if a profile of the Blessed Mary is present. Being a baptized Catholic I believe there is something very unique about this photo. The church is on the Historic Register of Historic Places In America. The church was constructed on the actual site where Benjamin Franklin flew his kite. Another interesting fact about this amazing photo is one of the chorus members before leaving for the trip to PA had a nightmare the plane on the return trip had crashed landed here in New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon final approach to the Louis Armstrong International Airport over the lake the plane for unknown reason make a sudden drive and everyone on board gasped. The fellow chorus member was in absolute shock. I had asked him when the plane landed what was wrong with him. Was it something he ate in PA and he told me and was petrified to say anything to anyone about the dream he had of the plane crashing. Well, we landed safely but for a brief moment the plane made such a sudden flight pattern correction I also thought it was going to crash into the water. This photo was in my files on my computer and somehow when I came across this photo the face section was enlarge and I gasped what is that, and when I control smaller I realized it was the photo I took while in PA at the church. This photo has not been altered in anyway and plans are being made to send the church a copy of it as well

Hello John, thanks for the V and the observation of my description, I appreciate it very much. I did not purposely plan the photo to turn out like this, it was blurred due to low shutter speed but its the angle of the image of Jesus and the angle and then the image behind him looks as if the face of Mary appears as well...Cheers Michael Hoard

Wow! I just had to post another comment after reading your description Michael. Before I readd your description I didn`t notice the face of Mary in the photo. The description is fantastic as is the photo! Too often we fail to read descriptions. I won`t do that again. Wish I could vote again for this. I`ll be looking for it in contests!
