Pensive is an ongoing exploration of emotional states - Im still interested in exploring and capturing the energy of the stroke with the marks I make, and exploring how dark and light interacts.
Its drawn on heavyweight A2 paper with first charcoal then compressed charcoal (conte), the grey tones achieved by rubbing with fingers, kitchen towel and cardboard sticks.

Amazing work! Glad to feature it on Completely Incomplete Art. The "modern" eye does not seem to gravitate to pencil/charcoal or B&W photos, but the modern eye is missing a lot if so!
