Panorama Of Turkey Peak And Hiking Trails At Enchanted Rock - Gillespie County Texas Hill Country
Photograph - Photograph
After a 440 mile drive from Palo Duro Canyon that took us approximately seven hours to complete, we arrived to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. As photographers, we decided to leave Palo Duro in search of dramatic skies filled with clouds, and upon looking at the radar, we noticed a big storm above the hill country; that, in theory, would mean nice conditions for photography at Enchanted Rock! Having arrived in the late afternoon, we started the ascent through the canyon that separates Turkey Peak and the Big Rock and we headed toward Moss Lake, in the north side of the park. We came across this appealing composition and we decided to shoot right before the sun would stop kissing the pink granite at the top of the peak. Thanks for looking! FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
