Painted Lady Butterfly
Photograph - Photographs
Last summer while biking on the Carriage Roads in Acadia National Park, I came upon this lovely Painted Lady Butterfly enjoying the nectar of this delicate wild flower. It is a cardinal rule of mine to always have my camera with me when I am out basking in all the beauty that Acadia give us. I was equally as happy that the butterfly wasn't perturbed at my presence and that she hung out for a bit to let me capture a few shots of her. This photo really reminds me of warm summer days and that I am most definitely ready for them again!
