Bodie Island Lighthouse under heavy thunderstorms and dramatic skies at the Outer Banks on the east coast of North Carolina. The Civil War era lighthouses at OBX are icons of North Carolina, making them a must-see attraction if you are in the area. I was lucky to spend some needed time away on Cape Hatteras and the OBX this spring with my good friend Rick Dunnuck, enjoying a little time shooting landscapes, eating fresh seafood, and of course the awesome apple uglies from Orange Blossom Bakery! We didn't have a lot of luck with the lighting and conditions during the week, but tried to make use of some strong thunder storms passing through bringing us some dramatic skies on this afternoon. Hope you enjoy the view!
