Orange Sherbert Hibiscus 300
Artist

Description
Early spring is the time for Florida plants and flowers to strut their stuff. This beautiful hibiscus bloom is a gorgeous orange with yellow-orange highlights. Seen from below, the petals create nice shadows and patterns. A little bit of the green stem and calyx add contrast. This colorful still life would make a lovely decorative throw pillow or shower curtain.
Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae. According to Wikipedia, the genus is quite large, comprising several hundred species that are native to warm temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world. They are renowned for their large, showy flowers and are commonly known simply as "hibiscus". This beautiful flowering shrub is plentiful in south Florida and is included in most landscapes.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
