Description
The centerpiece of this picture-perfect nature and botanical photograph is a large orange ixora flower growing in the garden as a tropical evergreen shrub. More round blossoms of orange fill the background, which includes healthy green leaves with plenty of raindrops and a lovely bokeh. It has just finished raining in the garden, so this plant looks especially healthy and radiant.
Ixora is a tropical to semi-tropical evergreen shrub, suitable for landscapes in USDA Zone 9 and above. The plant is often grown as an annual in temperate and cooler climates. Ixora shrubs, related to gardenia, are known for their large corymbs of bright florets. The large flower clusters come in red, orange, yellow and pink ixora. Also known as “jungle flame” and “flame of the woods.” Minimal maintenance is needed when growing an Ixora bush. These ixora were planted in large pots near my patio.
