This time of year (Spring) there are many wildflowers growing in a Texas meadow nearby me and every chance I get, I go hiking through for photo ops. There is a stand of wild oak trees and it is very shady where they grow because it is left to the wildness of all the plant growth around there. This is a leaf of a Hackberry tree that is growing out under the Oaks. I saw this orange beetle just resting on the leaf and liked the contrast of the orange bug on the green darkness. It looks similar to a May Beetle.
