Title
Opalescent Patterns In Rock
Artist
Connie Fox
Medium
Photograph - Indoor Color Photo
Description
Color photograph of a large slice of polished rock, with a dark area in one corner that, to me, looks like a highly focused black bird! This piece, which most likely began as a tree that became mineralized and petrified over the years, features diagonal veins of gold and polished nuggets of shimmering opalescent colors.
A natural abstract, symbolic in fact, that could augment or inspire a whole room. Could be hung either vertically or horizontally, alone or with several companion pieces in this gallery. I hope you will enjoy the entire collection, as well as all of my galleries.
Photographed with staff permission at the Dinosaur Exhibit, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Houston, Texas, USA.
FEATURED on the homepages of these groups: Showcasing the South, USA Photographers Only, Seen But Not Noticed, and Abstract Moods, October 2019. My thanks!
