Description
Of the thousands off photographs we took on our South Dakota trip, I choose this one to work on first. It was inspired during our September 5th visit to “Chapel In The Woods” and a log cabin that was first built by a settler named Edward Nielsen in Palmer Gulch, South Dakota. The cabin and land was purchased at auction. In 1987 the cabin was dismantled and moved to its current location near Rapid City. We took a number of photographs of both the exterior and interior of the cabin. This work serves as the most memorable part of our walk through the cabin. I have always treasured our history of this land, and the tenacity of those who settled here.
