On The Lake Sepia. Olympic National Park
Photograph - Outdoor Bw Sepia Photo
A large old Western hemlock tree near the edge of Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park, on the north shore of the state of Washington, USA. Beneath the gentle sky are rolling peaks of the Cascade Range, covered with tall evergreens. An unidentifiable kayaker can be seen on the lake, enjoying the pristine beauty of the outdoor wilderness on a beautiful October day. The Western hemlock is the state tree of Washington.
Photographed in 2012 in Olympic National Park, Washington, near Port Angeles. Nikon D80, Nikkor 50mm/f1.8 lens, with circular polarizer and ND filter, shot outdoors with available light. Processed in 2021 with a technique that gives the feel of an old slide film picture and converted to a BW sepia tint.
