Oh My Gawd Eye See Colours At The Southern Decadence In New Orleans Louisiana
Photograph - Photography
Two sisters ride through the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana on a bicycle built for two at the Southern Decadence Parade This one photo is my favorite because it brings a smile to my face and others who view. In three words "Its A Hoot" and "Oh My Gawd" actually this is my hoot photo, these two subject where on a bicycle built for two riding thru the French Quarter. As they were approaching I was standing behind a large crowd in front of me. I had my 300mm lens and kept dodging the people standing and blocking my view. I remember even getting down and trying to wedge and found an opening and stood. When they came to a stop the rider in back may have been getting ready to fall off. The rider took glace of me and braked the bike and I stood up and captured this one photo. Most of my images had always been one shots. Being a local resident all my life, no matter who you are, what your values are we know what it means to masque. Being Catholic no one should take any offense, when a photographer captures that one photo it is a photo based upon that one fraction of a second to forever record the human race either through wars, civil uprising or just a parade.. I was saddened by the fact this fantastic photo was denied by two site groups here on FAA, because of some phobias, prejudice or political values or deemed inappropriate and sensitive to view. Its photos like this very one which win a Pulitzer prize or a cover of a magazine and attains world wide recognition, the two subjects in the photo are the Nunsations, I am pleased to announce this image is a (future book cover release) All Rights Reserved Cheers, Michael Hoard Principal Actor, Artist, Photographer and Writer
When I capture candid images such as this it truly reflects the photographer I am. If I were to rate this photo it would be G for Great!!! Judging by the views and comments I achieved exactly what it was from a photographers perspective.
