A view of the USS John S McCain of the 7th Fleet of the United States Navy crusing up the Hudson River past the Intrepid Sea and Air Museum at the start of Fleet Week NYC 2017. Approximately 3,700 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen will participate in the 29th annual Fleet Week, which is traditionally celebrated with various events throughout New York City, including visits to the ships. USS John S. McCain (DDG-56) is an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer in the United States Navy. It is part of the Seventh Fleet, and its homeport is the Yokosuka Naval Base in Yokosuka, Japan. The ship is part of Destroyer Squadron 15.
