Night Heron In The Pines
Taken in Green Bay, Wisconsin on 9-12-18. This Black-crowned night heron was sitting in the pines above the water's edge. If you sit long enough and scan the trees for movement in any given spot for a period of time at dusk or dawn - you will be rewarded will critters you would rarely see otherwise.
The night heron normally comes out toward dusk and feeds at night because they are dominated by other herons and egrets during the day.
