Description
Contrary to its name, New Row is an old little lane in Mylor Bridge Cornwall.
Unsurprisingly the lane was known as Navy Lane for over a century as it was built for the people working in the naval dockyard which was constructed in 1805 at Mylor Churchtown.
Between 1851 and 1891 these pretty cottages were home to mariners, engineers, shipwrights, bosuns, sawyers, ropers, revenue men and a coastguard showing the influence the new dockyard had on the village of Mylor Bridge.
The first record showing it to be called New Row was in 1901.
