This great couple dressed as Alfred Hitchcock movie The birds, They were having a great time Mardi Gras Day in the French Quarter. New Orleans, Louisiana USA Mardi Gras is such a fun time in the city. Everyone always thinks of an original costume and plans and design their costumes. There is never a dull moment walking through New Orleans on Mardi Gras the sights are something to witness for yourself. Some costumes are elaborate some simple in design. Everyone poked fun of Hurricane Katrina though the entire city was pretty much destroyed, Mardi Gras went ahead as planned and was quite successful. Each year individual plan for the following year costumes. Its a photographers paradise for photo opps.

Hello Elizabeth, Oh its amazing the sights you see on Mardi Gras day, I a local and the effort everyone put into there costumes is just a photographers heaven. thanks glad you like it. After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, LA Mardi Gras was not cancelled the city and the residents thought it was a good thing well to relieve stress of losing everything you owned residents mocked fun at the Hurricane the disaster. cheers, Michael
