Photograph - Photography
This amazing photo of the oldest continuous Catholic Cathedral the St. Louis Cathedral was taken at the New Orleans New Year's Eve fireworks display. This amazing photo was taken at !2:10 am January 1, 2014. The New Year's Eve fireworks lights up the night sky on the Mississippi River directly in front of the oldest continuous catholic cathedral in the United States. The Cathedral is on the National Register of Historic Landmarks located in the French Quarter in New Orleans Louisiana. This photo was taken from the rear of the Cathedral at Pirates Alley facing towards the Mississippi River I left the local pub I was celebrating New Years Eve at and between taking videos and still photos I wanted to capture the oldest continuous Catholic Cathedral I rushed up the street around the corner about 3 to 4 blocks while the fireworks were going off. A light rain had started and stepping out from under the balcony above me I managed to get this finale shot of the continuous burst of fireworks. The photo was taken with a Nikon 820 macro manual zoom.
