This amazing site of a southern osprey seen high atop a tree. While I was doing a photo shoot, the subject said oh look at that bird up in the tree. An osprey, I have lived in the New Orleans area all my life and have never seen an osprey. Its wonderful to see wildlife thriving in nature once again. This photo was taken with a Nikon 820 macro zoom, auto settings. This will a series titled The Southern Osprey A rare site to behold in the city. This is the time of year and many species of birds do migrate. The osprey was high atop a tree in the park located in the Historic Lower Garden District in New Orleans, Louisiana
