The New Orleans Street Car heads uptown from returning downtown.
The New Orleans Street Car line became also famous with the international author Tennessee Williams wrote his novel A Street Car Named Desire while living in New Orleans Louisiana
The New Orleans Louisiana Street Car is one of the oldest and continued operating electric transit cars running in the entire world. Originally operating in 1834, the New Orleans Street Car was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The street cars at one time traveled throughout the entire city, including famous Bourbon Street and Royal Streets.
Because the cars are rare and some where sold elsewhere around the world machinist restore broken parts and manufacture the parts locally. This image along with the companion image was one of my first sales here at Fine Art America from a generous buyer from Houston, Texas!

The image was achieved as the St. Car slowly pulled away from the stop, I held firmly and focused at the front of the Street Car, the camera was on auto settings, I did not see the result on the preview screen because it obviously black outs when you snap the photo.
