New Orleans Mardi Gras 2014 Orpheus Super Float Smokey Mary

This amazing float rides in the Orpheus Night parade on Lundi Gras the eve before Mardi Gras Day Fat Tuesday, This float just about a city block long is towed by a giant tractor and part of the super floats designed for Harry Connick Jr. parade he organized. The engine and the rest of the train holds masked members of the crew of Orpheus. This year John Schroder was Captain of the parade. This photo was taken with a Nikon 820 with flash.
The float was named after a steam train which traveled in New Orleans named Smokey Mary.
