Description
Taking a longer route from the Grand Canyon to our campground at Homovoli State Park, we passed through the Navajo and Hopi tribal lands in Arizona. We stopped at this wayside and ate our lunch. This is the view we had from our lunch spot. The two peaks are volcanic plugs. That is, they the remnant of the volcanic chimney after the outer portion of the cone has eroded away. The location is along AZ St highway 87, south of Dilkon.
