Great piece of photography Jim.Nature itself is an artist.
Jim Buchanan replied:
Thank you Wayne! Yes, often we try to create something half as well done as nature does. To be fair, she does spend millions of years on her work, she is patient to be sure.

Amazing! Thank you for mentioning the person down below--it really does add perspective!
Jim Buchanan replied:
Thanks Annie. Yes, you have to walk through the base of the tent rocks to then begin the climb to where I am standing for this shot. It is a hard trail, going either up or down.

How enchanting! Your photo brings out the full charms of the whimsical yet dramatic forms and the graphic quality of the color design. So appealing, as if the gods let their children make this place in play. Outstanding and beautiful work! fav
Jim Buchanan replied:
Thank you Dawn. It's as if Mother Earth says "Let me describe to what forms beauty can take."

Jim, I love this perspective on the tent rocks very much! They are spectacular, and I so appreciate your comment in the description. l/f I think you might enjoy these quotations of John Muir, which I only recently found: http://vault.sierraclub.org/john_muir_exhibit/writings/favorite_quotations.aspx
Jim Buchanan replied:
Yes that is a good place for quotes, thanks. Did you notice the couple in the bottom of the frame taking pictures? On the way down I thanked them for showing perspective in my picture.
