Blue Chin Trout locally known as Bluchin are among the tiniest alpine lake trout never exceeding 3 inches in length. Bluchin are the bottom of the food chain becoming food for every fish in the pond. Herbert Chatteroy claimed he caught a 6 inch Bluchin back in 56 or 58 but no one has ever seen it or a photo. Herbert is well known in these parts of, well, stretching the tales, maybe the whole fish!
