Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
A very loose and colorful painting of the Great Horned Owl.
Up until about the time I turned 15 we use to load up all of our farm equipment twice a year and travel to a farm in Missouri to plant row crops in the spring and then harvest in the fall. It was always a fun time as my grandparents went and we all stayed in an old farmhouse right on the property. We would have supper with the family that owned the farm...that was part of the deal. Every night when we went out there was a big horned owl sitting up in the big oak tree that would swoop down and go right after my grandma. Now my grandmother was about 4' 11" all and weighed less than 90 lbs....and she was terrified to say the least. You know, he never bothered any of us, not even the little kids. But he sure did chase granny to the truck :).
That is my experience with the Great Horned Owl.
