This image captures a small patch of tules in Eagle Lake in Lassen County, California, USA. I loved the way the reeds reflected in the calm blue hour water on this very chilly morning. The low fog on the water in the background just enhanced the scene, which was beautiful in it’s simplicity. It is that simplicity that made me think of the Isaak Newton quote that I’ve placed on this version of the image (it is also available without the typography elsewhere on this site).
