Sometimes I wonder why I still bother to upload paintings. But, I cannot not paint and I hope someone beside me enjoys this. I’ve fussed over this little painting way too long. But, I fussed long enough that I’m satisfied with the result. That’s when it’s time to sign the painting and return to the living. It is an ordinary place in an ordinary little county park that insinuates itself into your mind — something about the light. An ordinary treasure. I was going to put a bear on the bridge and call it Bear Crossing, but that would have turned the painting into a fantasy. I learned a lot doing this. I am the worst kind of horse.
