Mocca on Maiden Lane,
In the heart of San Francisco in the central part of the shopping district is a place called Union Square. Union Square Park has as it's borders, Geary Street, Stockton St, Powell Street and Post Street.
Macy's is on the east side, with the Westin St Francis on the south. The west side on the other side of post street is Saks Fifth Avenue and across Stockton to the north is Mocca on Maiden Lane.
It seems as if every store brand in the country is represented within a few blocks of this park.
In the winter when the temperatures dip down into the 30's and 40's at night and rarely climb into the 50's they set up a skating rink in the park through the holidays giving it a real charm.
I captured this early one morning as I walked the park looking for an urban photo opportunity. The hawker in the middle of Maiden Lane seemed to set this up just right.
