Description
With skillful editing, you can even unveil the moon's hidden colors, often referred to as the mineral moon, as showcased in this very image. The varying hues are indicative of actual disparities in the chemical makeup of the lunar surface. Blue shades uncover zones abundant in ilmenite, a compound containing iron, titanium, and oxygen, predominantly titanium. Meanwhile, orange and purple tones denote areas comparatively lower in titanium and iron content. The white/gray shades indicate regions with heightened sunlight exposure (the same formula shows the overall colour of the star trails in the background)
Speaking of which:
This picture is made out of two shots. A frame of a minute-long exposure startrail and the other frame of the moon which decided to stop for us 😀. A burst of creativity led to the creation of this piece and I'm excited to share it with you, something different, I hope you like it 😊.
