MILKY WAY BRUSH FIRE

The Milky Way rises over a creek at Big Cypress National Preserve. A distant brush fire was lighting up the skies with brilliant colors and the smell of smoke was in the air as I drove out to Big Cypress National Preserve. I wasn't sure I would be able to see the Milky Way let alone photograph it but figured it was worth a try. The risk paid off, the brush fire smoke and the colors from the glow of the fire actually created a very beautiful and unique image.
