Mexican Hat Rock Utah

Description
A small town in Utah called Mexican Hat is named after a nearby rock formation which looks like a person wearing a large sombrero. The ‘sombrero’ is about sixty feet in diameter and is perched on a much small base on top of a small hill. How naïve I was to think that an ‘entire afternoon’ would be enough to drive from Moab to Monument Valley! After a long stop at Natural Bridges I didn’t leave much time to do much but make the short detour to the base of the hill for some photos! The town of Mexican Hat had a population of 31 in the 2010 census.
