Vail, AZ - United States

Once upon a time, someone with dreams of a home here were realized and life's experiences became memories and finally all forgotten. You are right, Sandi, the stories this place could tell.......................FAV / Like

Beautifully put, Jerry...thank you for your thoughtful comment!

Perth, We - Australia

You may well wonder Sandi, but judging by the color in the bottle, it may be wise not to sniff... :-)

Sandi Mikuse replied:

Oh definitely, Hartmut, definitely!

Perth, We - Australia

Sandi, this golden orange bottle makes this great photo. I too wonder what became of the people who may have once lived in this now decrepit old shack. What have they dreamt of...? Where have they gone to...?

Sandi Mikuse replied:

I agree, Hartmut. I wonder WHAT the liquid is inside the bottle. I wish I had had the courage to open it and take a sniff!!

Smithfield, VA - United States

Sandi, Hello again. I came back to see this because it is so interesting to me. I laughed about your reply to one of the people who commented about "what's inside..." Your honesty is much appreciated. I visited an abandoned shack & took pictures of the outside, so quaint and lovely with textured, old wood surrounded by pretty foliage. Then I went inside and found old newspapers, rubber boots, shredded, soiled lace curtains and cobwebs inside. I am like you, it was not anything I wanted to photograph. LOL. F/V

Sandi Mikuse replied:

HA! EXACTLY Anne! It was truly a depressing mess inside....but the old bottle in the back intrigued me so I had to take a shot of it!

Maine - United States

I hope you made a few shots inside the shack :))

Sandi Mikuse replied:

Hi Bob! I DID take a few shots inside, but it was an unbelievably, horrible disgusting mess....nothing quaint about it, I'm sorry to say! I couldn't wait to get back outside!
