Description
This is a shot of Seattle's Pike Place Market as you'll very rarely see it...devoid of people.
Christmas day 2011 brought us a wind storm which knocked out our power. Having tired of waiting for it to come back on we went for a drive and ended up in Seattle. The city was very quiet, in an eerie sort of way. We didn't really expect to find much of anything open, and we weren't disappointed. We went to the Pike Place Market and nothing, save the "Mee Sum Chinese Pastry Shop", was open. We each had a Humbow and split a Coke. From there we drove down 1st Avenue to Pioneer Square and the SoDo District. By the time we got home the power was back on. Not exactly a Christmas miracle, but it sufficed.

This is amazing, I've seen images of this place before...but never without the blur of shoppers (and fish). The neon and the vintage light fixtures are captured perfectly.

Great capture! It is difficult to take a photo of such a place without people! Great work! L/F

Great depth captured Steve and neon lights always look festive! We have a place in downtown Dallas called the West End and there is a place like this!
