What is more American than kitchen appliances made to make 20th century life easier. Hence the red, white and blue coloring. Not only were these devices practical, but had a pleasing design to them as well; in this case with a slight art deco feel. Two slice Toastmaster Toaster model 1B3. Toastmaster manufactured toasters in Elgin from 1938 to 1966.This object is in the Elgin History Museum collection. This image is included in the Art in Artifacts Exhibit.
