Visiting Acadia National Park in mid October is perfect! The foliage is just about peak and the temperatures, at least during the day, are mild and pleasant for a walk around the park. This is Little Long Pond, otherwise known as the Private Property Walk. It isn't private property and hasn't been for a very long time. It is the most pristine landscape and perfect for dogs and horses because they don't allow bikes. We can let our dogs run free without worrying about meeting up with a biker. Acadia is a very special place to me and to anyone who visits, will see why so many people visit Acadia and Mount Desert Island time and time again!
