I love the gorgeous white Asiatic lilies in my garden. The red stamens loaded with red pollen and water drops add drama to this still life watercolor.
This close-up watercolor painting of one of Nature's finest blooms begs the question: Is white really white? Different shades and nuances of color were used in this white lily watercolor painting - but not white. As in all my watercolors, the white that you see is the paper showing through the paint. The red spatters represent the pollen overload.
