My family and I have just returned from our three week camping vacation on Mount Desert Island. Within those three weeks, I took approximately two thousand photographs. It is always so difficult for me to decide which photo to edit and work on first. Well, this made the cut and it is my first photo uploaded from our 2017 camping trip. I love the Sand Beach and found it really funny that there weren't any people anywhere near the Life Guard's chair! Believe me, this beach is packed with tourists and they all seem to keep away from the life guard. That's okay! Without all those beach bodies, I can offer you a great view of the Otter Cliff's on the right side and Schooner Head on the left! We had just finished our decent from Gorham Mountain and the ocean water felt so cool and refreshing on our toes after our long hike! We hiked back to the Otter Cliff's to pick up our car, so really this stop at Sand Beach was just a half way point in our trek! What an absolutely wonderful day!!
