Description
This worker honey bee gathers delightful pollen from a lavender stalk. Once it has completely filled its pollen sack located on the hind legs, he will take the treasure back to the hive. Once there, he will remove the pollen, process it in the hive, and pack it away into the honey comb. Workers have well-developed compound eyes on the sides of their heads, and three simple eyes (ocelli) at the vertex. Their tongue is well developed and elongated for taking up nectar from flowers. drones, those bees who care for the Queen, will use the honey to feed the queen. What is not used will remain for the next queen bee as the current queen will fly off and make another hive. The life cycle of othe honey bee is very interesting.
